I wrote a short fanfic about this character for those who love SG-Atlantis as well as I do.

Gwen Queen of the Wraith for about 7000 years. Its chief commander was the Wraith Boris, who was killed by Shepard's team on Sateda. In the show's 3rd season series 4 (Sateda). The day Boris killed Gwen wasn't on his hiveship. She was on another hiveship because as Queen, Gwen should regularly visit all their hives and all the feeding ground. The Queen must be sure that enemy ships don't visit human planets which belong to her.
Gwen and Boris together owned a large number of hiveships and controlled quite a large feeding ground in the Pegasus galaxy. It gave Gwen a high position in Wraith society, namely, the third after the first Queen. And Boris was in command of a fleet of 25 hiveships with a huge number of cruisers and darts on each. Each hiveship of course had its own commander, but they all served to Boris.
But everything good ends sooner or later. Other the Queen had collected a large fleet of hiveships and decided to take the feeding ground which is owned by Gwen and Boris. The war began. The Wraith hiveships were hit by each other, sabotaging and created conspiracies until finally the second Queen found out where and when the Gwens hiveship be and hit him. The hyperdrive exploded, the hiveship lost altitude, started to fall apart and eventually fell to the nearest planet. The fact that Queen Gwen and some of her crew survived was a lucky accident. After the explosion and the passage of the ship through the planet's atmosphere theoretically no one was supposed to survive.
But Gwen had survived, she was seriously injured, her face was disfigured, but she was alive as well as almost half of the hiveship's crew. They were lucky that the compartment for darts survived the fall is not damaged. The crew was prepared to repel the attack of an enemy hiveship so most of the Wraith were in the hangar deck for darts. But the troubles did not end.
Boris like all the other commanders of the Gwens fleet's did not know that the Gwens ship shot down. Because the enemy Queen did it with quiet diversions. This means that after the accident, Gwen and her crew are stuck on an unknown planet for an indefinite time and may still die there of hunger because no one is coming for them to pick out.
But that's another story for my next fanfic.
The main thing that Gwen is alive, the scars on her face hides a complex tattoo due to which again she can look good. And Gwen will avenge to the enemy Queen. Her revenge will be terrible as seen in this drawing. Yet Gwen doesn't know that Boris was killed on Sateda, when she will finds out Atlantis be next
